Beefeaters Barbecues

Healthy cooking? Turn to the barbecue. While traditionally we think of high-calorie fatty foods as what we cook on a barbecue, grilling on a barbecue can actually be a very healthy cooking technique that requires no added fats and lets the excess fat from meats drip away. And cooking on a barbecue might prove to be healthy on so many levels. Australians definitely believe that this is the case. While many of them say that cooking outdoors has a relaxing, therapeutic effect, what they eat also changes to some extent with the BBQ.

Cooking outside allows people to unwind, do some thinking and find those quiet Zen moments. This is probably a combination of being outdoors and getting to spend fun time with family and friends. A large percentage of people also felt that cooking outdoors on the open flame was more enjoyable than cooking in the confines of a kitchen however well-planned and bright.

While barbecuing has all these psychological plus factors, the food eaten itself is also a lot more healthy. The technique lets the excess fat drip away and does not need any added fats for the cooking. Fish, vegetables and even fruits are all delicious over an open flame. Many men also concur that they are more likely to eat vegetables that are grilled over an open flame than in any other form!
